Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to come along and enjoy football sessions in a relaxed and sociable environment, with no commitment - simply turn up and play!
Whether you are looking to try football for the first time, or returning to the game after time away, Just Play sessions offer a safe and welcoming space for women of all skill levels to stay active, acquire new skills, and have an enjoyable time.
Our friendly sessions are held on Thursdays 7:30-8:30pm at Palmer Park in Reading. No regular commitment is needed, just turn up when you can.

The FA Snickers Just Play! gives the casual footballer a chance to just turn up to a venue and play football. The Just Play kickabout is recreational football at its best – it’s about turning up for an hour of exercise and a bit of fun. It’s football for those who can’t or don’t want to commit to an eight-month long season of matches and training.
We provide the balls, pitch and teams. The Just Play sessions at Palmer Park in Reading are women only sessions for adults. The recreational sessions are for those who think they’re talented and for those who think they aren’t. It’s a friendly kickabout whatever your age or ability.
Sessions are run on a weekly basis by a Level 1 or Level 2 coach. They consist of a casual game with an FA qualified coach to oversee and offer coaching tips to improve your game. They are for all ability levels including beginners and those who want to get back into playing.
Participants must be over 18 and should wear suitable footwear. Suitable footwear includes trainers, astros and moulded studded football boots. For the surface we play on (grass & 3G astro turf) astro boots are ideal.

Women’s Recreational Football in Reading has been nominated for the BBFA Grassroots Football Awards 2024 in the Impact of Football Award category!
This year’s BBFA Grassroots Football Awards is set to be bigger than ever! With more Awards categories, a new venue, a special guest host and for the first-time, the opportunity to purchase general sale tickets to join in celebrating just some of the exceptional people involved in the grassroots game across Berks & Bucks FA.
This Award's evening will be held at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Thursday 25th July. Further details of the event including a special guest host and details of ticket sales (limited numbers) will be released in the run up to the event at the end of July - so keep your eyes peeled on the Berks & Bucks FA website and social media channels to make sure you don't miss important news!
